I used to work with someone who I’ll call Bob. Bob had a problem. Bob could not stop talking. He would stalk the office like a hungry lion looking for a victim weak enough to make fleeting eye contact, then stand over them and anecdote them to death. If he got you, all you could do was think of a happy place whilst everyone else in the office sniggered and an hour or more dribbled away into the drains of time.
